Being Mindy's first novel, it is not nearly as developed as her second (in my opinion), however her humour still embraces each page. She goes through her life and struggles on self image. She also touches on other issues everyone deals with growing up. She is such an inspiration to young females, heck females and males of all ages in general. I thoroughly enjoy that the entire novel feels like Mindy is right beside you, giving you life advice. I enjoy the conversational tone she sets while telling stories. Though this memoir is considered to be more a collection of essays, she does get a little scatter brained nearing the end. Keep in mind folks, this was her first novel, it was still hilarious and I think she knocked it out of the park. You Go Girl! :)
