The Name of the Wind

I was encouraged to read this book series by my boyfriend. I have yet to read the next one, but this book was intriguing and had interesting concepts. The way Patrick chooses to portray the story is through the voice of the main character and by his story telling. The beginning of the book, I almost gave up on it. Give it a bit of time. The fantasy novel carries you through the story of a young boy with little to no powers, into one of the most notorious and feared wizards.
