"It is our choices, Harry, that show what we truly are, far more than our abilities." - Albus Dumbledore. I am confident this is one of life's most important lessons.
In this book we discover more about our main characters, as more are introduced. I thoroughly enjoy the chronicles of Dobby the house elf, and poor Ginny Weasley. I appreciate how involved Dobby and Ginny are in the book. If you watched the movie and have never read the book, it explains all of your questions. I detested Gilderoy Lockhart with a passion; I still cringe thinking about it. If you thought he was terrible and annoying in the movies . . . he is worse in book. This is one of my least favourite of the seven books, however that does not mean it was bad. Spiders would likely be my boggart, I get squeamish about snakes and as I said before, I really detested Lockhart. I admire the sense of adventure, creativity and shenanigans Rowling brought to the pages. Peeves is also an enjoyable character; definitely one you will love to hate. Once you have read Philosophers Stone, pick this one up. You will far from regret it.
