This was not a traditional Stephen King book. Usually when I read his novels, I can't sleep at night because I am scared. This novel was compiled of a bunch of mildly scary stories, or not scary at all, and I slept like a baby. Don't get me wrong, there were still stories that took a twisted turn. I just found that I was laughing at some stories, because they were ridiculous than I was actually scared. I appreciated how each story got a background on why it was written, and what it means to him that he wrote it. It helped get onto a personal level and channel what he was going through at the time he wrote them. Nevertheless, he did not disappoint with the fluency and creativeness of his stories.
