This book by Jennifer Donnelly will leave you just that; Lost in a Book. This heart tugging spin-off of the Disney tale will leave you wanting (Never)more. At first I was unsure what to expect. My main concern was that it would be too childish, and I was wasting my time reading it. I was very wrong. Jennifer took my favourite Disney character, and created what was one of my favourite reads of 2018 (and 2019).
She starts with a similar storyline to the most recent Emma Watson featured film, Beauty and the Beast, and proceeds with a book lovers twist. I ended up lending this book to my cousin and her daughter. When it was returned, I couldn't help but to read it again. This book deserves some recognition. It's very wholesome, a light read, and enjoyable to all ages.
"Smart, bookish Belle, a captive in the Beast’s castle, has become accustomed to her new home and has befriended its inhabitants. When she comes upon Nevermore, an enchanted book unlike anything else she has seen in the castle, Belle finds herself pulled into its pages and transported to a world of glamour and intrigue. The adventures Belle has always imagined, the dreams she was forced to give up when she became a prisoner, seem within reach again."
